Taste of Saskatchewan, held each summer in Saskatoon, is Saskatchewan's premier food festival, attracting foodies from near and far to taste dishes prepared by Saskatoon's top chefs.
During the six day event, there was endless amounts of food served by over 30 local restaurants, live entertainment and fun cooking competitions - like the Chef's Series, which I was lucky enough to sit down and judge!
The Chef's Series, put on by Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan, features healthy, nutritious food produced by Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers and prepared by some of the province's best chefs. It also showcases some of the agricultural products grown in the province too, which was great to see and taste!
This event was not only fun and delicious, but it was informative and provided me with an appreciation for the local food and great chefs we have here in Saskatchewan. What a treat it was to see Saskatchewan grown food prepared right in front of you, and best of all, you get to taste them. I'm still dreaming of the ribeye and lentils!
