If you haven’t already heard the news, this is going to make you very happy:
In 2018, The Comedy Network will be launching an animated version of the smash hit Canadian television franchise CORNER GAS.
When Corner Gas premiered in 2004, Rouleau (know in the show as Dog River), became a popular tourist destination. After over 100 episodes and a movie, Corner Gas continues to draw visitors to the community.
Yesterday, the producers of Corner Gas in association with the town of Rouleau, launched the Corner Gas — Dog River Walking Tour.
The digitally interactive, self-guided tour includes: the town hall, Dog River Hotel, Oscar and Emma’s house, the original site of the gas station and much more.
At each location is a commemorative bronze plaque with QR codes to scan on your smartphone that link you to a website with facts and clips from the show.
“Corner Gas fans can visit our town and enjoy a digitally interactive, self guided Dog River Walking Tour with a sneak peak of how they will appear in the new animated series,” said Mayor of Rouleau Grant Clark. "we are thrilled that Rouleau will continue to be a tourist destination for years to come.”
