Honey Bees Helping Crops

A few weeks ago I shared a blog post talking about spraying of crops on the Richardson farm and a question arose on FaceBook about the use of chemicals that are harmful to bees. Before I even had a chance to ask, Joanne Richardson texted to let me know that they don’t use such chemicals on their farm and have had beehives on their land since the 1970’s. Wanting to learn more about the relationship between crops and bees, I reached out to Dwight Sollosy who is an apiarist. I joined Dwight and Brook Garner as they collected honey and taught me everything there is to know about bees - okay maybe not everything, but definitely a lot.
