Solo Italia Fine Pasta Inc. isn’t a restaurant, but a pasta supply business. They ship homemade pasta to Italian delis and restaurants all over the province. That being said, the public is also welcome to visit Solo Italia and purchase fresh and frozen pasta and pizza. In fact, their Naples-style wood fired oven pizza is so popular, that people drive from all over the province just to purchase it freshly made at their store every Friday. I had the opportunity to visit owners Marco and Tracey de Michele in the small town of Ogema in Southern Saskatchewan. It was fascinating learning the process and work it takes to make authentic Italian ravioli, and they even let me help out a little bit. Check out my video below of my day spent with the de Micheles.
