Established in 1966, the Globe Theatre is the oldest professional theatre venue in Saskatchewan. It has since established itself as one of Canada's most reputable regional theatres producing numerous esteemed productions in the round every year. The globe is currently mid-run of its production of Beauty and the Beast which has been extended twice since its opening due to its positive reception and flourishing ticket sales.
I had the privilege of catching up with my lifelong friend - Regina native, Jacqueline Burtney who is starring as Belle in the live disney musical. Jacqueline's talents have brought her to the stages of Mirvish Productions, The Stratford Festival, countless national tour venues and Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Jesus Christ Superstar which starred fellow home-towner Paul Nolan as the titular character.
