Have you been to Terrace Dining Room in the town of Broderick?
Chef and owner Veronica Prokopiw transformed the old town hall 15 years ago and has been going strong ever since. A lot of historical charm has been preserved in her local restaurant, such as the original hardwood floors and the raised platform in the dining room that used to be an old theatre stage.
The staff were delightful, and the country setting was picturesque.
Ok let's talk FOOD!
Now Broderick is home to a TON of potato producers. And just as you’d expect in small town Saskatchewan—Terrace gets their potatoes fresh from down the road. They make homemade cactus cut fries and they were the bomb! I went for their appetizer platter and the Pizza Dip was the star. Yep, *Pizza Dip*. Warm, gooey, cheesy, slightly spicy…you know.
I also tried the loaded Country Chicken Ranch Salad and a decadent Chocolate Brownie with Cappuccino Chip ice cream to finish.
Veronica also treated me to a special custom cocktail. I'm kicking myself for not remembering what was in it, but trust me, it was a perfect sip of summer. She is a cocktail QUEEN and will whip you up something good, I promise!
It’s comfort food with a gourmet twist, and served by some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. They are a steakhouse, but that’s just the beginning. Everything on the menu is worth a try. Their outdoor patio is a true prairie oasis and the grounds also feature a pond and outdoor stage. I can’t imagine a better place to kick back after a long day of summer activities.
And finally, they have taken special care to keep all diners safe, so this an A+ option for date night or your next family meal. Patio and dining room are open!
