The last time I was at Mosaic Stadium, I was wearing a watermelon helmet while a friendly wasp was trying to cash in on the easy-access sugar on my melon. Things looked quite different yesterday, as I got my first skating lesson with Professor Andrew Hiltz (a.k.a. the 2017 Saskatchewanderer).
This iconic stadium is home to the Roughriders and is also hosting Frost Regina, a winter celebration where one pass gives you access to experiences such as the largest outdoor skating rink, interactive light displays, Glow at REAL and Iceville. Oh and did I mention curling?!
I've never skated before and let me tell you, my first experience was fun! I think a few bruised elbows and knees must be an international sign of a good and playful day.
Pick up some hot chocolate and prestzels after you skate. And if you don't have your own skates, or they need to be sharpened, Extreme Hockey has you covered!
At Iceville, you'll feel like you're in a ski resort in some winter paradise. Wait a minute . . . we are already in a winter paradise!
